Therapy tailored to you

My therapy opens up a place where you can come to make sense of what's affecting you and start to explore your feelings in a space that I hope feels comfortable, non-judgmental and safe. As someone independent and outside of your day-to-day life, my approach nurtures a way for you to gain deeper self-awareness, enabling you to make meaningful choices or discover new ways of responding and relating to the world.

As a registered integrative therapist, I incorporate Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches along with Systemic Therapy, which considers the impact on the relationships between people and how those relationships impact you. I also integrate Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and practical models from Transactional Analysis. I draw on my knowledge of the nervous system and neuroscience to help you understand how your brain and body work together, promoting a sense of safety and self-connection. However, at the heart of my practice is a belief in the importance of the counsellor-client relationship, underpinned by Person-Centred principles.

I also provide counselling services to businesses and corporate clients, helping business owners and employees better understand and manage workplace pressures. Through individual and group counselling sessions, I create a supportive space where employees can explore their challenges, build emotional resilience and develop coping strategies.

I have a background working in a competitive, highly pressured environment within corporate banking. Additionally, I worked with a leading UK-registered charity that supports family mental health and well-being. I have also worked for Solar, the partnership between Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Barnardo's, and Autism West Midlands.

The difference between Counselling & Psychotherapy

Counselling provides you with a safe, confidential, private space to talk about problems that are affecting you in the here and now. This is your time to be heard and understood in how you feel. You are free to speak about your problems as openly as you wish and I can help by offering different techniques that may help your situation.

Psychotherapy involves taking a deeper look into the root causes of the problems you are facing. Rather than simply exploring ways to manage your low self-esteem, for instance, our work will revolve around understanding where this feeling stems from in the first place, exploring past experiences to understand their role in your present-day life. In doing this, you will have a clearer understanding of where these issues come from and develop a bespoke way to move past them.
