Life brings many challenges, and we might, understandably, seek support in navigating them at times. However, having the courage to share our issues and challenges can be incredibly difficult.
Often, we can suppress our feelings of unhappiness, but deep down, we can feel the pain from our past or the anguish from our current problems. Even if we do have someone to talk to, we can feel unable to share the truth for fear of hurting others or being judged by them if they were to know how we really feel.
As a registered integrative therapist, I draw on humanistic and psychodynamic approaches, along with systemic therapy, which considers the impact of your past, the relationships between people, and how those relationships impact you. I also use my knowledge of the nervous system and neuroscience to help you understand how your brain and body work together, promoting a sense of safety and self-connection.
My approach nurtures a way for you to gain deeper self-awareness and understand how our bodies and minds work. This enables you to make meaningful choices and discover new ways of responding and relating to the world. When we do, we not only build resilience but can thrive and, over time, find a sense of peace and growth.
Finding yourself reading this suggests you have taken the first step along the path to a better tomorrow, so please get in touch to arrange an initial discussion.
When life is challenging, I aim to make a positive difference by helping you gain insight and strengthen your inner resources and resilience. Guided by your individual needs, I can help explore your experiences, gain clarity, and develop healthy coping strategies to manage whatever difficulties you may face. Head over to my My Approach page for a more detailed breakdown of how I work as a counsellor and psychotherapist in Solihull and online.
It is often helpful to start with an informal, no-obligation telephone call to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling and whether it could be helpful for you. It is also an opportunity for you to gain a sense of whether I am the right counsellor for you and if I think I can help with the issues you bring. Alternatively, please fill out the booking form to arrange a call back at a time that suits you.
All enquiries are usually answered within 48 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential, using secure telephone and email services. If it is not appropriate for any reason, for me to leave a message, please advise of this and provide specific times when it is suitable to contact you.
Counselling sessions for individuals last up to 50 minutes and cost £65 per session.
A secure link will be provided by email or text, ahead of each session, for you to make payment. I use a provider called SumUp and you can read more about them here.
Please kindly note that if you wish to postpone or cancel an appointment, a minimum of 48 hours' notice is required. In the absence of this, full payment for the session will be due.
I offer confidential face-to-face sessions at my private practice in central Solihull – located in a quiet, peaceful location, with plenty of parking available and easy access to public transport.
In addition to providing face-to-face therapy, I also offer telephone and on-line sessions for clients in Solihull and beyond via Zoom. Contact me to find out more about how on-line therapy works.
